CONTENTS OF THE SEPTEMBER 13th STAPLE FOODS BOX:


2 Dozen Eggs

1 LB Butter (in quarter sticks)

1 LB American Cheese Slices

1/2 LB Parmesan Cheese

1 LB Sliced Ham

1 LB Crispy Rice Cereal - avg large box of cereal is 12 oz

1 LB Honey Nut O's Cereal

3 LBS Quick Rolled Oats

2 LBS Farina (cream of wheat)

#10 Can of Tomato Sauce (approx gallon size)

#10 Can of Diced Tomatoes (approx gallon size)

#10 Can of Corn (approx gallon size)

#10 Can of Green Beans (approx gallon size)

10 LBS Russet Potatoes

10 LBS of Flour

5 LBS of Sugar

2 LBS of Brown Sugar

2 LBS Cornmeal

1 LB White Rice

1 LB Spaghetti Noodles

SOME DETAILS ON THE STAPLES BOX PROGRAM


The deadline for the September 13th Staples Box Program sign up is August 31st. We will begin taking sign-ups today. In order to sign up, you will need to come by the store to get the paperwork and make payment.


If you wish to sign up for the Staples Box Program after August 31st, the sign up deadline for the October box will be September 13th. Below you will find the program guidelines.


There is no minimum box commitment for the Staple Foods Box Program. However, you will always be paying in advance for your next box. For example: When you pick up your September 13th box, you will need to decide if you want the October box or not. If you do want the October box, you will need to pay for it then. If you do not want the October box, you will not pay for it and will be removed from the list for the October box. If you left and later decided you wanted to participate in the Staple Foods Box Program afterall, you would need to sign up again (before the October box pick up date) and wait for the November box.


It is your responsibility to retain your receipt should proof be needed. If for whatever reason, you do not pay for the following month’s box, you will be removed from the list as it will be assumed that you no longer wish to participate. We cannot be responsible for holding open a place if you do not make payment when picking up the current box.


Staple Foods Boxes may be picked up on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday only of the week the boxes are available. We cannot “hold” boxes due to room and temperature restraints. We will post reminders for pick up on Facebook, but ultimately it is your responsibility to pick up your box. If you do not pick up your box, you will forfeit your payment for that month’s box as the products will have been bought for you regardless of whether or not you showed up. After closing on Saturday, any left over boxes will be dismantled and donated.


If someone picks up your box for you, they are responsible for making sure all the items are in the box and in proper condition. A list of the items will be available for them to double-check. We will no longer be supplying “missing goods” unless it is noted that they are missing while the box is still in the store. If the person picking up the box notes missing item(s), they should tell the clerk immediately and before leaving the store. After double-checking, the clerk may provide or exchange the missing or problem item(s). Once the box goes out the door, we are no longer responsible for the contents. There will be no exceptions so please make sure whomever is picking up the box does double check the contents. Items will not be exchanged unless there is truly a problem with the item. A dislike of an item or a preference for a “better” item will not be deemed reason to exchange. Mold or significant damage to an item would be a valid reason for exchange; dislike of the size, shape, or looks of an item would not be.


Taxes must be paid. It is not optional and you cannot leave with a box without paying the taxes for it. We will not be responsible for paying your sales tax or waiting till the next time you come in to collect it.


Exceptions to the above rules and guidelines cannot be made. Those who are a chronic problem will be removed from the list and may not go back on the waiting list. This is at the sole discretion of the owner & managers.
