Beginning 6/28/2012, we will have a FRUIT ONLY BOX available, weekly for $16.50. Sign up details are below.

If you wish to sign up for the FRUIT ONLY BOX, you must come by the store to complete the paperwork and pay for your first box up front.

Pick up dates for the FRUIT ONLY BOX are Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays only.

The guidelines for the FRUIT ONLY BOX are the same as for the PRODUCE BOX. The only difference is that the FRUIT ONLY BOX is a weekly box rather than a bi-weekly box. Read below for guidelines.

FRUIT ONLY BOX PROGRAM RULES & GUIDELINES:

When you sign up, you are committing for 4 consecutive boxes. This is the minimum commitment required. You will always be paying in advance for your next box. For example: If you are signing up on June 22nd, you will not be getting a box that day, but you will pay for the June 28th’s box that day. When you come in to pick up the June 28th’s box, you will pay for the July 5th’s box. If after your 4 consecutive box commitment, you wish to discontinue, please let the clerk know. If you wish to stay on the list, you will just pay for the following week's FRUIT ONLY BOX when you pick up the current box. It is your responsibility to retain your receipt should proof be needed. If for whatever reason, you do not pay for the following week’s box, you will be removed from the list as it will be assumed that you no longer wish to participate. We cannot be responsible for holding open a place if you do not make payment.

Your FRUIT ONLY BOX may be picked up on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday only of the week the boxes are available. We cannot “hold” boxes due to temperature/weather restraints and lack of enough cooler space to hold the boxes of those who choose not to pick up their boxes on the designated days. If you are not going to be able to pick up your box on the designated week, you must let us know no later than Monday, before noon of that week. Otherwise, you forfeit your payment for that week’s box as the fruit will have been bought for you regardless of whether or not you showed up. After closing on Saturday, any left over boxes will be dismantled and no longer available. If you miss your pick-up that week, and you wish to stay on the list, you will need to have payment for the following box in the store no later than Saturday of the week missed. Otherwise, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be on the list and your name will be removed. While we have done so as a courtesy at times, we are not responsible for reminding you to pick up your box.

Whomever picks up your box is responsible for making sure all the items are in the box and in proper condition. A list of the items will be available for them to double-check. We will no longer be supplying “missing goods” unless it is noted that they are missing while the box is still in the store. If the person picking up the box notes missing item(s), they should tell the clerk. After double-checking, the clerk may provide or exchange the missing or problem item(s). Once the box goes out the door, we are no longer responsible for the contents. There will be no exceptions so please make sure whomever is picking up the box does double check the contents.

Items will not be exchanged unless there is truly a problem with the item. A dislike of an item or a preference for a “better” item will not be deemed reason to exchange. Mold or significant damage to an item would be a valid reason for exchange. Dislike of the size, shape, or looks of an item would not be.

Taxes must be paid. While some folks have just simply forgotten, we continue to have a few people who do not wish to pay taxes and routinely choose to try not to. We more than understand why you would feel this way, however, this is not an option. If you choose not to pay taxes, you will not leave with a Box. We will not be responsible for paying your sales tax or waiting till the next time you come in to collect it.

Exceptions to the above rules and guidelines cannot be made. Those who are a chronic problem will be removed from the list and may not go back on the waiting list. This is at the sole discretion of the owner & managers.
